Hi my name is Lulu-Belle.
My first 2 years were really hell,
shut inside, no food, no bed;
I never saw another Ned.

Then came Dinty, clad in armour;
she must be a little charmer!
She made my owner let me go;
how she did I’ll never know!

Then she took me to the farm.
“Don’t fret”, she said, “I’ll do no harm.”
She fed me up and got me fit;
I didn’t mind a little bit.

Then quite soon she let me out
to have a little gad about.
I didn’t know that life could be
So good, so great, so truly free . . .
